Our Nurse Practitioners

Jennifer Seiler, C.N.P.

Jennifer Seiler is a graduate of the Mount Carmel College of Nursing and received her Master of Science in Nursing from Otterbein College.  She worked as a staff nurse in clinical oncology for 6 years prior to obtaining her certification as a Nurse Practitioner in 2006.  Her clinical experience includes work at The Mark H. Zangmeister Center, The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital, and Vitality Natural Wellness.

Ms. Seiler is certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner.  She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society, Ohio Academy of Advanced Practice Nurses, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Ms. Seiler is very passionate about health and wellness and is also a certified personal trainer.  She lives in Upper Arlington with her husband, two children, and their Bernese mountain dog, Arthur.

Lauren Sockrider, C.N.P.

Lauren Sockrider is a native of Westerville, Ohio. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.

Lauren worked as a registered nurse in Pediatric Oncology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital prior to obtaining her Nurse Practitioner certification in 2009.

Ms. Sockrider is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by ANCC, an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Oncology Nursing Society. Prior to joining Columbus Oncology Associates, Inc., Lauren worked as a nurse practitioner for over 6 years with Hematology Oncology Consultants, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio.  Additional clinical experience includes her work at CVS Minute Clinic, Integrated Pain Solutions, and Worthington Family Physicians.

Lauren resides in Westerville with her husband and three children.

Brittany Sweigart, C.N.P.

Brittany Sweigart is a native of Cedarville, Ohio.  She graduated from Malone University in Canton, Ohio with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  She was a registered nurse for 5 years on the oncology floor at Mt Carmel West prior to obtaining her certificate as a Nurse Practitioner at Mount Carmel College of Nursing in 2012.

She is a Board certified Family Nurse Practitioner by ANCC, an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner and a member of AANP and ONS.  Prior to joining Columbus Oncology Associates, her clinical experience includes working at The Mark H. Zangmeister Cancer Center for 7 years and Hematology Oncology Consultants for 2 years.

She currently resides in Grove City, Ohio with her husband, 2 children and German Shepherd.

Carmen Sidani, C.N.P.

Carmen Sidani is a native of Flushing, New York. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. She was a registered nurse for 5 years working with oncology patients at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center prior to obtaining her certificate as an Adult Nurse Practitioner at Kent State University in 2007.

Ms. Sidani is a Board-Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner by American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She maintains certification as an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) by Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC).  She is also a member of the Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology as well as the Oncology Nursing Society.

Prior to joining Columbus Oncology Associates, Inc.,  Carmen worked as a nurse practitioner for over 5 years with the Department of Interventional Radiology at The Ohio State University Medical Center and 11 years in outpatient and inpatient medical oncology at the James Cancer Center.

Additional clinical experience includes work at the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center and The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.

Carmen resides in Powell with her husband, two daughters and their dog Jasper.

Ashley Compton, C.N.P.

Ashley Compton is a native of Urbana, Ohio.

She graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2010 and worked as inpatient RN at The James Cancer Hospital for 5 years while also completing the James Nurse Residency Program.

She obtained a Master’s of Science in Nursing in 2015, also from Ohio State. She is a board certified Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner.

Prior to joining Columbus Oncology, she worked for a combined 7 years as a nurse practitioner at The James on the inpatient Oncology services and in the Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology clinic.

Ashley currently resides in Dublin, OH with her husband Kyle, two daughters Olive and Sophie, and dog Charlie.

Lauren Uttam, C.N.P.

Lauren Uttam is a native of Powell, Ohio. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Lauren worked as an inpatient registered nurse in Pediatric Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant for four years at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center prior to obtaining her certificate as a Nurse Practitioner.

She earned her Master of Science in Nursing at Northern Kentucky University in 2021. Ms. Uttam is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Prior to joining Columbus Oncology Associates, Inc., Lauren worked as a Nurse Practitioner in Urgent Care/Internal Medicine.

Lauren currently resides in Grandview Heights, Ohio. Outside of work she enjoys travelling and spending time with her dog, Nash.

Benjamin Flaherty, P.A.C.

Benjamin Flaherty is a native of Massachusetts. He graduated from Brown University in 2009 and has Masters degrees from Yale University and Ohio University. He has been a practicing physician assistant in Ohio since 2019. He worked as a hospitalist at Riverside Methodist Hospital for 4 years and joined Columbus Oncology in 2023.

Ben lives in Upper Arlington with his wife and three children.
