Dr. Leiby grew up in the Cleveland area, but has been in Columbus since attending Otterbein College. 

She graduated from the Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed her fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology there in 1984. She remained on the faculty at University Hospitals until joining this group in 1989. 

She has published many articles on development of new cancer drugs for breast cancer. She is board certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
